SUMMARY:Ohio Rural Water Association 2018 Annual Conference and Exposition
DESCRIPTION:ORWA covers both water and wastewater sectors\, has >350 members\, and is part of the National Rural Water Association.  There were ~270 participants and 67 exhibitors.    Ohio EPA Deputy Director\, Karl Gebhardt\, who gave a keynote presentation at the conference\, mentioned OIACI and recommended that the conference participants look at Israeli innovations and technologies in the water sector and work with OIACI.  He gave Fluence’s small scale wastewater treatment technology as a specific example of Israeli technology and innovation in this sector.

SUMMARY:Akron Global Water Alliance (AGWA) U.S. Smart Water Conference 2018
DESCRIPTION:The conference covered Smart Water – the systems\, technologies\, data and innovations that form the present and future of water utilities\, watershed management and water treatment\, and also dealt with toxins\, including HABs\, Algal Toxins\, DBPs\, Pharmaceuticals\, and other issues in water treatment.  It featured updates and presentations from the Ohio and US EPAs\, utilities\, water engineering firms and consultancies\, operators\, scientists and innovators from across the U.S. and across the world.  About 180 people in the water sector from Ohio\, the U.S. and other countries attended the event.
